Under Pressure.

Irrelevant picture. HAHA.

Over the past few days, I've been feeling very pressured.

School has started for me and I realized I have been missing out on a lot.

I thought school here would be easier, better than New Zealand. How wrong was I.
I skipped out on a lot. Maybe if I was in Malaysia and moved here without going to NZ, I wouldn't have any problems. Or maybe I would.

The teachers here aren't as good as they say. They didn't even acknowledge my presence if I didn't raise my hand and tell them I'm new.

My new school has a system of using MacBooks instead of books. It's not as good as it sounds.
Everything is on your MacBook. When I was in a class named Writing For Real Audiences, we were supposed to write something, I don't know what, on our MacBooks and send it in. I don't have the machine, you see. My classmates do and they didn't do anything. Tumblr, YouTube, Twitter, you name it.
So much for 'EXCELLENT STUDENTS'.
(Yeah, during my interview, the assistant principal went all: "Oh, our school is excellent. We have the most excellent student and staff. The parents are excellent too. We excel, excel excel BLAH BLAH BLAH. Friendly students and teachers BLAH BLAH)

My classmates were not friendly as my classmates in New Zealand.
At least in NZ, from what I remember, when I said: 'hi,' some people actually said hi back and talked to me.
Not like here. I said: 'hi,' they smiled and ignored me the whole time. wth. I tried making conversation like: 'So, how's school life here?' and they're like: 'it's okay.' END OF CONVERSATION.

It's a pity that I'm not as good of a social butterfly some of my friends are. Maybe it's my fault. My mum told me that they haven't 'warmed up' to me. It'll take some time. God, I hope it's true.
I hate being a new kid.

Back to the topic.
The teachers are pressuring me to choose what subjects I want to take next year. It's due next Wednesday and I still don't understand what the booklet is trying to tell me after reading it three times.

Maths? I'm trying my hardest to catch up with what I'm lost at. I just begun learning quadristics in NZ this year but they've already 'excelled' to a higher level.
English? I'm positive that I'll do fine. I just need to brush up on my writing skills.
Science? We're doing Chemistry. I've only started learning about the basics of it in NZ. Here, they're starting to teach at a higher level but it's manageable.

I'm taking Chinese as a course. It's SO EASY. Seriously, they're teaching stuff that I've learnt in PRIMARY SCHOOL. I'm going to ask if I can be enrolled in a the Gifted Language Program they have here. It's more of a challenge and it'll help me with my results next year. I HOPE.

I'm taking Food Tech as well. I like it. :D

OH, went off topic again.
So yeah. I'm feeling pressured. So many courses to choose from. They have like 1A, 2A, 3C, 3D. I don't understandddddddd. Even my dad doesn't. I'm going to ask the co-ordinator tomorrow.

I don't know what I want to do with my life.
I'm having major doubts about me being a dentist. Just reading all about it online makes my head spin. So many foreign words.

START THINKING, STOP DREAMING.
I'll be graduating from school and luckily go straight to Uni at the end of 2013. That's 2 years from now!

My parents just leave me alone. It's pretty funny, actually. They want me to do whatever I want and when I want their opinion, they just reply with: 'it's up to you'. o_e

I feel better now after ranting on my blog. I'm feeling so nervous tomorrow. Second day of school. Man, I hope I'll settle. D:
